Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 titles have been achieved on hardcourt
A revitalized Medvedev claimed his first title for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition final.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a torrid period, achieving just one match at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the American major.
The player's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serve in particular - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and eventually separating with long-time coach Gilles Cervara.
Presently training with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily advanced in the past month - climaxing in a closely contested competitive triumph over opponent Moutet.
This marks the player's maiden trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard court since March of 2023.
The win also means Medvedev has secured twenty-one victories at twenty-one different events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a tournament with my both daughters at once, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my child Victoria, because the first title I achieved when my child my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had lost his previous six title deciders, comprising in that event earlier this year.
The player's retrieving strategy and frequent emotional displays on court had prompted commentators to doubt if his capacity to perform at the top level was finished.
But the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, striving to approach the net and compete positively, supported by an enhanced service.
Medvedev recovered from a break down in the opening set against the tricky Moutet, taking 4 of the final five exchanges to take the lead.
The competitors exchanged service breaks in the following set before Moutet, bidding for his first tour victory, took control to create a decider.
He defended four initial opportunities in a tight deciding set before the champion secured a break to 15 to secure the win.
Suitably, Medvedev secured victory with a rally at the net area, with Moutet incapable to handle a volley after a lengthy match.
